Sam Zychinski: High School Hustler

There’s a few things we’d like you to know about Sam. He asked for a briefcase for his 13th birthday, he’s rooted in St. Louis, and he loves tea.

He loves tea so much, that he would drink it everyday for lunch. And everyday his friends would give him grief. So, he started thinking how he could bring his love of tea to a whole new generation of tea drinkers.

The summer before this Junior year of high school, Sam won first place and a cash prize at a college entrepreneurship camp. Immediately after, he decided to use those winnings to create a tea company. He spent several months researching tea distributors until he found the perfect partner. He networked his way through becoming an LLC, obtaining his business license, and setting up his company, all while balancing his studies. In the summer of 2021, he launched Gateway Tea.

He is not sure where this journey will take him, but he remains certain that he will give back to the city he loves and he will never stop hustling.

Steeped in St. Louis, this isn't your grandma's tea. It's young, vibrant, and of the highest quality. Sourced organically and USDA approved you get the best tea with a city spin in every slurp. This tea-for-all encourages pinkies down, middle fingers up. Our Gateway Tea is a gateway to new things. We plan on direct sales from our webpage along with a small presences in local grocery stores and coffeehouses.
